SimplePart Celebrates Six Year Anniversary With 60 Percent Increase In Sales YOY

From 270 Daily Visitors to 72,000, Atlanta Startup Has Seen Exponential Growth

ATLANTA, Ga. – SimplePart, an e-commerce solutions provider for OE dealerships and auto manufacturers celebrates its sixth year of business this month. Since inception, the company has helped more than 300 dealers sell over $44 million in parts online, and this year reported a more than 60 percent increase in sales from the previous year.

As the only vendor that has a full turnkey solution for dealers and manufacturers, SimplePart is an endorsed solution for BMW/Mini, BMW Motorrad, Ducati, Honda/Acura, Honda Powersports, Isuzu, Subaru and Yamaha. It supports national brands such as Chrysler/Fiat, Hyundai, Kia, Mazda, Mitsubishi, Nissan/Infiniti, Toyota/Scion/Lexus, Triumph and Volvo.

SimplePart provides not only a platform to sell parts but also SEO/SEM and e-commerce marketing. In just six years, the company has experienced exponential growth, capturing 20 percent of the $100 million stand-alone parts market online and ranking among national brands such as Autozone, NAPA and Advance Auto Parts in website traffic.

“We started on a laptop at Joe’s East Atlanta Coffee Shop in 2008,” said CEO and founder Cole Getzler, who noticed a void in the online marketplace trying to find parts for his 1967 Austin Healey 3000. “Now we’re a major force in the e-commerce and automobile industries. What we provide is unique in the online parts space because it’s a purpose-built technology platform for parts sales, supported by a staff dominated by car enthusiasts with experience in the dealership world. We don’t outsource anything.”

SimplePart received the Marketing Innovation award this January from the Automotive Website Awards, hosted by PCG Consulting in San Francisco. “A combination of SimplePart’s ability to provide dealers with an immediate online parts store, its pay-per-performance model, attractive user interface and various other impressive features led us to award SimplePart in the category of Marketing Innovation,” the organization reported. “SimplePart has perfected the online parts store technology.”

The company has grown from three original employees to more than 30, with a 30 percent increase in just the last six months. Continuing its plans for growth, SimplePart projects adding 15 new employees by the end of 2015 for its office in Atlanta.
