SimplePart, a provider of e-commerce solutions for OE Dealerships and Aftermarket parts suppliers, released information covering Q2 of 2013 today. Together, during Q1 and Q2 of 2013, SimplePart generated online parts sales totaling $5.39 million- in only six months already achieving nearly the $5.78 million of online sales generated during all of 2012.
In the second quarter of 2013, SimplePart generated $3.18 million in online sales for its clients, a 123% increase in sales dollars over Q2 2012. SimplePart client websites experienced over 5.45 million unique visitors during the second quarter of 2013, a 19% increase compared to the previous quarter and a more than 81% increase compared to Q2 2012. The additional traffic contributed to a 92% increase in order volume and a 16% increase in average sales basket compared to the corresponding period in 2012.
SimplePart continued to add to their portfolio of products in Q2 with the introduction of their Pro Package and Base+ Package. The Pro Package was created to service clients wanting additional traffic generation services to be provided. Pro Package clients receive additional services including managed Search Engine Optimization and Search Engine Marketing with an emphasis at a regional level, Comparison Shopping Integration with third party marketplaces like Google Shopping and the Ebay Commerce Network, Social Media Management, and Online Reputation Management. SimplePart’s Base+ Package was developed to cater toward third party online marketing vendors looking for features and tools to facilitate robust online parts sales for their clients.
In addition to new product offerings, SimplePart continued to release new service enhancements to the platform throughout the quarter. Most notable were the release of a new Checkout system and an Android App. The new Checkout system, released in April, led to an immediate 5% increase in cart to checkout conversion. The SimplePart Andriod App allows for SimplePart’s clients to scan a part barcode, take full color pictures of the part, and with the click of a button, have those pictures upload into the catalog database and onto their parts website.
